Meet Jeremy!

Name- Jeremy

Title - Web Developer #1

How long have you been with ServerMonkey? Just about 6 months and 4 days.

What did you do before you started at ServerMonkey?  I came from a related company, where much of my time was spent doing work… for ServerMonkey! Though it also involved building websites or pieces of websites. But I also dabble in game programming and animation.

What is your favorite movie or book and why? Tough one, but probably my favorite series right now is The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. He’s extremely good at creating wholly unique fantasy worlds, and the magic therein, where a lot out there tends to rely on Tolkien tropes. This is followed closely by A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin, now better known as A Game of Thrones.

What do you like to do in your spare time?  I’m a PC game player at heart, though my soon-to-be wife and I enjoy music, good TV, Star Trek, and also games. A newer hobby may be customizing the operating system of my phone.

So far, what has been your favorite ServerMonkey lunch? It’s hard to beat BBQ.

Favorite thing about working at ServerMonkey? We have a great atmosphere. From a development standpoint, while we have a challenging roadmap, we can also choose what to work on – within reason. There are always priorities! With a smaller development team, there are a lot of opportunities to drive the design of our projects – but also to collaborate. The adjustable desks are pretty nice, too.

Thanks for sharing, Jeremy! You can see all of our Meet The Monkeys posts here.
