Find me on:

We love getting to know our customers so we thought we would let our customers get to know us a little better too. Next up in our Meet The Monkeys series is our Director of UX and Design, Larry:

Name: Larry

Title: Director of UX and Design

Describe an average work day for you: It can vary greatly from day to day, but generally speaking, I spend most of my day solving problems, both internal and customer facing, as well as planning longer term strategies on how to continually grow the company through our ecommerce site.  I also spend a lot of time working with different team members across our company and when I am focusing on specific tasks or projects, it is often related to visual design as well as front-end development.

Use two adjectives to describe yourself: Focused and determined.

How long have you been with ServerMonkey? I have been with ServerMonkey as a full time employee since August 2015.  However, I have been involved with the company since its founding as part of my previous role with our sister company, Smith & Associates.

What brought you to ServerMonkey? Previously, I worked at Smith & Associates for over 15 years and spent the last 8 years as Creative Director.  I decided to come over to ServerMonkey full time due to the many exciting challenges as well as the tremendous growth potential.

What is your favorite movie or book and why? Right now, it would have to be 'The Martian'.  It’s a fantastic story of one man’s triumph over impossible odds showing that a person can do anything they set their mind to accomplish.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I am a fitness fanatic so I tend to spend much of my free time at the gym.  However, I also enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as reading books and watching movies.

Favorite thing about working at ServerMonkey? I love the small company environment where everyone can know each other.

Thanks for sharing, Larry! You can see all of our Meet The Monkeys posts here.
