Intel has finally granted our wishes. The new processor from Intel, the Broadwell, has been much anticipated and is finally being released. The Broadwell promises power efficiency and mobility in a thinner and lighter body. In fact, Intel is giving every segment in the company a fresh update. 14 new processors under Core i3, i5, and i7 are being added, in addition to Pentium and Celeron.

Upgrades to the new processor include battery life improvements. They say the new batteries should last 20-30% longer than those of the past. Broadwell is a 14 nanometer process- the die size shrank by 37%, but the capabilities have increased immensely. They can now fit 35% more transistors- a total of 1.3 billion. 3D graphics have improved by 22% and performance strength of video encoding has increased to 50%. The new Intel can even stream 4K video- a new favorite among consumers. The new chip is also allowing voice assistants to leave our phones and enter our desktops. While Intel has made this possible in select chips before, with Broadwell it will be available on all processors. The software for voice control will even be available in 10 languages, up from the previous 6.

Intel is telling consumers to look out for laptops, tablets, and 2-in-1s equipped with the Broadwell to hit the market very soon.
