UPDATED: Sony HACKED!

The Sony Pictures hack that started over 3 weeks ago on November 24th by the so called "Guardians of Peace," is still going on. In case you missed it, the Monkeys will give you the ins and outs of the ongoing hack. It started with an image flashing across every employee’s computers, warning that it was only the beginning. Phones, emails, computers, everything was shut down at Sony. Four days after the initial attack, four of Sony's films, including three not yet in theaters, were now available for online streaming. Rumors began flying that the attack came from North Korea in retaliation to the film jokingly plotting Kim Jong-un's assassination, The Interview. Similarities in last year's attacks on South Korea and the Sony code have been found, furthering the rumors surrounding North Korea's involvement. Other rumors surround former employees peeved by last year's layoffs.

Bonuses of Sony executives began being leaked, accompanied by many other Sony employee's salaries. Various passports, visas, medical records, and employee complaints, have also been published. Information is being published on sites such as Pastebin and Friendpaste. Sony has since hired the FBI and Mandiant to help investigate along with litigator David Boies to help delete any information organizations may have been given by the hackers. Sony has since been promised a "Christmas gift" from the G.O.P. in the form of even larger quantities of data leaked.

UPDATE: It is official. US authorities have concluded that North Korea is in fact behind the attacks. The attacks are said to have began outside of North Korean soil, but were authorized by North Korea’s leaders. Malware was released on Sony computers not only erasing all files, but completely destroying them. With that, Sony has pulled the release of The Interview (scheduled for December 25).
