HOUSTON, TEXAS – (October 01, 2013) – ServerMonkey, a leading provider of new and refurbished servers and networking and IT equipment, will be hosting the work lounge at SpiceWorld, October 29-30, 2013 at the Austin Convention Center. SpiceWorld is Spiceworks’ 6th annual user conference that attracts hundreds of IT pros eager to learn best IT practices and meet new vendors.

HOUSTON, TEXAS – (August 29, 2013) – ServerMonkey.com, a leading provider of new and refurbished servers and networking and IT equipment, will be sponsoring an episode of the second season of the web series “Watch Immediately”, by LA sketch group Kill Bosby.

Kill Bosby is funding the second season of their web series through the online crowd funding website kickstarter (www.kickstarter.com). All the money they receive from contributors will go to increase the production value of the series. The first season was funded entirely by the group members and from cashing in on favors from friends.

Even though it says August on the calendar we can hardly believe we’re more than halfway through 2013! Spiceworks recently released their semi-annual State of Small and Midsize Business IT Report and we saw some very exciting information concerning the IT world! The data is collected from small and medium business technology professionals via an opt-in survey of members of Spiceworks.

Earlier in the summer, we held a contest on Spiceworks to see if IT pros could guess the correct price we were selling a fully loaded, refurbished server for. The contest ran from May 24, 2013 to June 24, 2013 and provided a fun way for IT pros to learn more about our products and low prices. The contest had a total of 181 entries, the majority of which used our site to research the correct selling price. 20% guessed that the server sold for lower than the actual price and only 14% of all contestants guessed above the correct price. We sent a special coupon and some freebies to anyone who guessed within 10% of the correct price:
