Even though it says August on the calendar we can hardly believe we’re more than halfway through 2013! Spiceworks recently released their semi-annual State of Small and Midsize Business IT Report and we saw some very exciting information concerning the IT world! The data is collected from small and medium business technology professionals via an opt-in survey of members of Spiceworks. The most important information we saw was that for small businesses, hiring is staying stagnant but budgets are on the rise. The adoption of tablets for business purposes is also still on the rise. The smallest of small businesses are currently at a 73% adoption rate. That’s an increase of 25 percentage points since the same period last year! Surprisingly, tablets are even more popular than smartphones.
