The Couchlet advertises itself as “power where you want it.” You know when you’re sitting on the couch charging your phone on the nearest plug and your phone rings, so you have to stretch over the couch in an awkward position to answer it while keeping it plugged in? Or you want to plug your phone into the outlet behind your bed, so you have to squeeze your arm between the mattress and bed frame to reach said outlet? The Couchlet fixes these exact issues. The Couchlet has a folding arm that makes it easy to fit between couch cushions or under your mattress. The Couchlet is equipped with a 6 foot USB cable to connect to your outlets for power and has low voltage, so it’s safe. The Couchlet is expected to ship December 2015 and is retailing at $16.
Another issue surrounding charging is the time it takes to charge your devices. Your phone may be at 23% charge, but you only have 45 minutes to charge it before you leave. The SONICable can charge any device in half the time as a regular charging cable in a USB port.
