Find me on:

This month, we’re focusing on consumer tech for the home. We can’t wait for these gadgets to become available. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Jibo

jibo

Jibo won’t ship until 2016, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t excited about it. Jibo is a family robot that can see, hear, speak, learn, help, and relate. Jibo is equipped with two hi-res cameras that can recognize faces and a 360 degree microphone that allows users to speak from anywhere in the room and communicates using natural social cues. Jibo provides users with hands free reminders, while learning your preferences to help make tasks easier. Jibo is helpful to kids, teens, adults, and seniors alike- anyone. Overall, Jibo helps manage and connect your life. Jibo comes in black or white and can be pre-ordered for $749.

Peeple

peepleThe classic peephole in the front door is outdated. Most doors don’t even have peepholes today but rather large gaping windows for your wanted- or unwanted visitors to see into your home. Peeple sticks to the inside of your door and is battery operated. Connecting through your home’s WiFi, Peeple sends notifications (pictures/videos) to your phone when someone knocks or opens the door. Peeple comes in white, black, or red. There’s even a limited edition version that is white and gold- and has customizable text! While Peeple is in its kickstarter phase, it is retailed at $149. Peeple is expected to start shipping in May 2016.

Bruno

brunoBruno is the world’s first smartcan- it’s a trashcan and vacuum all in one. All you have to do is sweep crumbs, hair, and dust near the trashcan, and the trashcan will suction the debris right into the trash bag. To open the trashcan, all you have to do is motion your hand across the top and voila- the trashcan opens. The trashcan also has built in storage for extra trash bags. Bruno also has an app that will keep track of how many bags you have, remind you when you need more, and remind you when to take the trash out. Bruno comes in white, gray, blue, red, and stainless steel. Bruno is expected to begin shipping in October 2015 at a price of $169.
