Name: Margaret

Title: Web Developer

Describe an average work day for you: Most of my days are spent fixing an issue or adding a feature to better improve the use of the site. This involves a day of digging for data, testing, retesting, deleting and more testing.

Use two adjectives to describe yourself: Cool and composed.

How long have you been with ServerMonkey? Since March.

What brought you to ServerMonkey? Before ServerMonkey, I worked at Smith & Associates (sister company) for close to a year. I was moved here to join the developing team which has been great!

What is your favorite movie or book and why? I enjoy, what some may consider as, self-help books such as "Rich Dad Poor Dad ", "How to Win Friends & Influence People" and biographies such as "The Autobiography of Malcolm X." I also enjoy fictional novels such as “Americanah” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

As for movies, my ultimate favorite across all genres is '300' because of the passion depicted by Leonidas (Gerald Butler) and the Spartan army, it's very motivational in a way. I also enjoy 'Final Destination' (just the first two, and 5). 'Pineapple Express' would have to be my favorite comedy because it's just an easy laugh.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I'm pretty much a homebody. I have a green(ish) finger so I enjoy caring for my plants. I like reading, listening to music and if the motivation strikes me I like learning new things sometimes visiting sites like Coursera or heading to my local library. I also like traveling and gambling.

Favorite thing about working at ServerMonkey? When I come to work I know that I will learn something new. It is never repetitive and I enjoy that about my work. The fact that I am always challenging myself and the work is challenging, there are always opportunities to grow into a better, more adept, web developer which, ultimately, allows me to better serve the company.

Thanks for sharing, Margaret! You can see all of our Meet The Monkeys posts here.
