We love getting to know our customers so we thought we would let our customers get to know us a little better too. Next up in our Meet The Monkeys series is one of our Web Developers, Thais:
Meet Thais!
Name: Thais
Title: Web Developer
Describe an average work day for you: On a typical workday, I work on tasks involving our websites at my desk--usually bug fixes and feature requests. I often bookmark information I find useful for later reading or reference while data mining.
Use two adjectives to describe yourself: Curious and caring.
How long have you been with ServerMonkey? I've been with ServerMonkey for 303 days and some hours.
What brought you to ServerMonkey? Right before ServerMonkey, I was a Web developer and designer for a broker-dealer firm. While I enjoyed working with them for more than four great years, ServerMonkey's investment in technology and digital strategy, as well as the company culture, really appealed to me. And now, I'm one happy code monkey.
What is your favorite movie or book and why? I have many favorites, but if I have to pick, I'd say Piercing the Darkness, by Frank E Peretti. Other than being a great action-packed novel, it holds some sentimental value. It's a bit of an unfair and biased pick, but the story alone is worth it, anyway.
What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time, I: watch TV, browse the web, read books, watch online courses, paint faces, stroll or window-shop, go out with whoever (incoming calls determine that), occasionally visit Downtown Houston for attractions.
Favorite thing about working at ServerMonkey? Does "everything" count as an answer? Learning something new everyday, with people who are friendly and motivated about what they do, and being able to communicate and collaborate with such a delightful group of people would be my top three.
Thanks for sharing, Thais! You can see all of our Meet The Monkeys posts here.
