Instituting a green business culture wasn’t an afterthought – it’s been our philosophy since ServerMonkey was in its earliest planning stages. As a provider of refurbished servers and IT equipment, ServerMonkey takes pride in extending the life of high-quality equipment that may have otherwise been destined for the landfill.
Through our six step inspection and testing process, we’re able to provide customers with equipment that meets or exceeds factory-new refurbished equipment standards. So, when you buy a refurbished server from ServerMonkey, you’re not only getting hardware that performs like a new unit – you’re helping fight the e-waste epidemic.
Green credentials
As a proud "e-Stewards Enterprise", we have agreed to work only with EPA compliant recyclers to ensure that none of the e-waste or scrap material we produce ever contributes to the global toxic waste crisis. ServerMonkey goes to great lengths to make sure that materials are either repurposed or recycled at all times.
For example, say that someone using our Buy Back Program sends us a piece of equipment that doesn’t quite live up to expectations, and is beyond salvage or repair. When this is the case, we’ll send the unit to our local recycling partner, who will in turn recycle the parts and ensure that no hazardous waste is ever sent to a landfill.

First and foremost, we love the environment. As a company that deals with refurbished equipment on a daily basis, we understand the importance of “reducing, reusing and recycling”, and we apply that phrase to every aspect of our business operations. We have a great opportunity to raise awareness about and actively fight the global e-waste epidemic, and feel it’s our responsibility to help make our future a cleaner one.
